My baby started 1st grade :(

Kayla in front of the school.

playing before starting school.
lining up with her 1st grade class

My baby girl started 1st grade today. I thought it was hard when Kayla started Kindergraten but 1st grade is just as hard. Kayla is very lucky to have her teacher from last year (Mrs. Beeman) teach her 1st grade class this year. She is a wonderful teacher. She really a fun teacher and you can tell she enjoys what she does.
I'm actually glad in a way that Kayla is back in school. Her and Marcus have been fighting non stop the past couple of weeks. I'm ready for a little peace.................... even if it means my little girl is growing up.

Fun at the splash pad

I took the kids, and my younger cousins, Porter and Kennedy (sorry if spelt wrong) to splash pad at Power Ranch. Aunt Bev was visiting from California and she came along too. She likes to do fun things with her nieces and nephews when she visits. The kids had a really fun time. They probably only played in the water for like 30 minutes. Then we feed the ducks and played in the water a little longer. After the park we went to McDonald's for lunch. (I hate McDonald's but it's the only place with a play center.) Good thing there was a Taco Bell right next door. Me and Bev ate Taco Bell while kids had chicken nuggets. They played in the play area for over an hour and half. I don't know if they had more fun in the Water or at McDonald's.

Soooo hot outside!!

It's been so hot lately here in AZ. There's really nothing else to do in the summer here except stay inside or play in the pool. So I took my kids to the mall last week for a fun morning on the playground and a ride on the carousel. They had a great time it doesn't take much to amuse kids.

Happy 4th of July!!

Marcus, Ashton. Kayla and Bradley
Bradly patiently waiting for fireworks
Ashton, Aunt Erana and Kayla

Our 4th of July was alot of fun. Me and Ethan both had to work during the day so we missed out on the barbaque. But in the evening we went to my father in law house in Gilbert. The high school near his house puts on a firework show. We always sit next to the little lake near his house and we are able to see the show. Anyways the fireworks were a little delayed (I think due to the monsoon we had earlier in the evening). The fireworks finally started at 10:00. The kids waited so patiently. The kids enjoyed the fireworks so much. My boys were so excited and Kayla didn't cover her ears like all the years before. Happy 4th!!!

Happy 10th anniversary to me!!

Rialto High School class of 1998.
So Jennifer, my cousin (the girl on the left) called yesterday and reminded me that it's been 10 years since we graduated from high school. It's hard to believe that 10 years have gone by. I feel like I just left high school. Sometimes I still feel like I'm 18 except for the fact that I have three kids and I'm married. Anyways I dug through my old photos and found this one of Jennifer, my best friend Amy and me. (Those graduation gowns good on no one.)

FUn in the Garden

I know this is the best picture but it's the best I could get on my camera phone. Anyways.....We went to Grandpa Lanier's house on Wed. for a visit and picked a whole bunch of vegetables from his garden. We picked tons of green beans, eggplant, and the biggest cucumbers I have ever seen. Anyway on Thursday night we cooked the green beans and sliced the cucumbers to go with dinner. We had a tastiest meal with salmon and brown rice and all the veggies on the side. It was sooooo good. Thanks Grandpa Lanier.... I can't wait till we have a house and we can grow are own garden

Drill sergeant Dobner

This is a picture of my brother Elliot. He just finished school (in the army) to be a drill sergeant. He came down this week for our cousin's Eric wedding. I only get to see him like twice a year so it was good to see him again. .....And for any of you single people out there.....Yes he is single. I'm looking for a nice girl for him.

My first grader and "Max"

Kayla finished Kindergarten last week. It's so hard to believe that she's going to be in first grade. Time just flies by. Kids sure do grow fast. It seemed like yesterday that she was a baby.

Mother's day.

Kayla made me flowers for mother's day at school. She was so excited to give them to me. This is one of those things that makes being a mother great.
